Hosta montana Shunko Nishiki Brazil In early May (NC)This beautiful sport of the large growing Hosta montana was discovered by Japanese nurseryman Hiroyoshi Watanabe. It superficially resembles H. 'On Stage' (Choko Nishiki) with long, pointed leaves featuring a brilliant white center and contrasting medium green border. Each 3'+ clump (we don't know a mature size, since most Japanese grown plants are kept in tiny little pots) is topped with stalks of light lavender flowers on 48" scapes.
