Astilbe Delft Lace PP 19839 Trachystemon This salvia relative is nativeAstilbe 'Delft Lace' is a superb astilbe that first appeared in 1998 in a Dutch astilbe field as an open pollinated seedling and subsequently selected by nurseryman Henricus Holtmaat. Astilbe 'Delft Lace' forms a 26" tall x 16" wide vigorous clump of bright red sturdy stems, clothed in lacy dark green foliage edged in red (during cool temperatures) and topped, in spring, with spikes of salmon red buds that open as lightly fragrant pink flowers.
