The Vols were led by sophomore sensation Allan Houston. Houston, who would go on to be the schools all time leading scorer, averaged nearly 24ppg on his way to being named to the All SEC First Team. Unfortunately, the regular season didn't pan out the way the Vols hoped finishing 9 20. Since Tennessee went 3 15 in conference the Vols
